My name is Tyra Valeriano. I am a highly qualified law enforcement professional and have served in the criminal justice/ law enforcement field for eleven years. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice specializing in Cybercrime and Technology. I have experience working in corrections, patrol, investigations, and leadership. During my career I served several years on patrol with two departments in New Mexico as a patrol officer. I also worked in the Criminal Investigations Division as an Intelligence Analyst, served as a Field Training Officer, Acting Supervisor, and Patrol Sergeant. The last couple years of my career, I became an instructor to help assist with instruction and training at the police academy. I became an advocate for officer mental health, women in law enforcement, work/life balance, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle while serving as a police officer. Everything I advocated for was due to my own experiences through trial and error. My experience, knowledge, and education has led me to help those who want to join law enforcement, those who are already in law enforcement looking for ways to manage areas of their life related to burnout, and those who want to exit law enforcement. I am here to help you recognize your potential and be a coach and mentor through whatever season you are at in your law enforcement career.
